Address One Another With Song

As we learned this past Sunday from Ephesians 5:15-21, song is one of the unique ways that God’s people can make wise use of difficult days. This week, we are blessed with a recording of Julie and Ken Willey’s arrangement of the hymn I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say.

The Lord is full of compassion and mercy: O come, let us adore him!

I heard the voice of Jesus say
Come unto Me and rest

Weary and worn and sad

Behold I freely give
The living water thirsty one
Stoop down and drink and live

Of that life giving stream
My thirst was quenched my soul revived
And now I live in Him

I am this dark worlds Light
Look unto Me thy morn shall rise
And all thy day be bright
I looked to Jesus and I found
In Him my Star my Sun
And in that light of life I’ll walk
Till travelling days are done
