Youth

Youth

Youth in 6th through 12th grade participate in our Sunday worship services on a weekly basis and are involved in many other areas of ministry throughout the church.

As well as their involvements in the shared life of the church, youth at Redeemer gather regularly for fellowship, worship, prayer, study and service to the wider community. If you have any questions about our youth ministry, please contact [email protected]

Youth TEAM

Youth Director

Caleb Molstad

Caleb is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a PhD in English Literature. He enjoys a good book and a good cup of tea; both of which he has strong opinions about. Caleb may also be found biking around the Twin Cities, walking outdoors, or writing wherever he can find acceptable green tea. He is excited about building relationships with students to help them connect their faith to their everyday lives and grow in their relationships with Christ. At different points in his life, Caleb has been a blueberry picker, children’s ministry intern, school bus driver, and doctoral student. He grew up near the mountains in Oregon but has found a home among the 10,000 lakes of Minnesota with his wife Sarah.

Small Group Leaders

Colten Wilson

Colten Wilson grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. He earned a degree in government from Patrick Henry College in Virginia, where he met his wife and fellow alum Anna, who is lovely and tall. The two of them moved to Minnesota in 2015 and have four precious children. Colten works as an analyst at Ecolab. He enjoys Minnesota’s seasons: bicycling with his family and friends in the summer, ice skating and walking frozen lakes with them in the winter, and taking in the sights and smells of Autumn and Spring in between. A fierce supporter of poetry and hootenannies, Colten also enjoys reading, talking about what he’s reading, and is keen to join any gathering of friends for food, or bevs, or just time together.

Hannah Flowers

Hannah is a professional harpist and singer but she would rather be a hobbit. She takes great pleasure in unironically enjoying many things: warm drinks, fantasy novels, Taylor Swift, long hikes up mountains, theology, lipstick, Irish traditional music, BBC crime dramas, and petting every dog she meets.

Jake Pitchford

Jake lives in Plymouth, MN with his wife, Katie, and their cat, Ophelia. He has been attending Church of the Redeemer since October 2017. Jake is currently working towards earning his doctorate in clinical psychology from Augsburg University. He also works at The Soul’s Apothecary in Lakeville, MN, where he does psychological testing. Jake’s hobbies include music, gaming, movies, reading, hiking, and comedy.

Emily and Jordan Schroeder

Emily is a homeschooling mom who enjoys a table set with food, friends, and conversation. Before parenting Emily used her Bethel Philosophy degree as a teacher at Trinity School River Ridge. These days Emily keeps up the quotidian mysteries and looks forward to great children’s literature, walks, snowshoeing, kayaking, and her next meal with friends.

After graduating from Bethel with degrees in Theology and Youth Ministry, Jordan spent 10 years as a youth pastor. In 2006 he gave up retreats and missions trips to start his own family and begin a career in real estate. Between showing homes you’ll find Jordan engaged in cross-country skiing, wind sports, or electric skateboarding.
