The vestry is a lay leadership team which works with the rector to oversee the church. For more information on the relationship between the vestry and the rector–and a detailed explanation of the legal organization of Church of the Redeemer–our bylaws are viewable here.
The vestry has three major areas of responsibility:
- Overseeing the business and legal affairs of the church.
- Serving as an advisory council to the senior pastor/rector on matters related to the ministry of the church.
- Working with the senior pastor/rector to prayerfully discern the strategic focus of our church.
