[W]hen Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. — John 13:1
The evening of Maundy Thursday begins the three sacred days, the Triduum. On Maundy Thursday, we remember the Lord’s example of servant ministry, his institution of the Eucharist, his agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal leading to his crucifixion.
