Holy Week 2026

[W]hen Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. — John 13:1 The evening of Maundy Thursday begins the three sacred days, the Triduum. On Maundy Thursday, we remember the Lord’s example of servant ministry, his institution of the Eucharist, his agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal leading to his crucifixion.

He is not here, for he has risen. — Matthew 28:6 Like the women who went early to the tomb, we will gather at sunrise on the shores of Lake Johanna on Easter morning for a brief service of readings and music. Bring a lawn or camping chair and warm blanket and dress for the weather. We will have solo stoves for some warmth and coffee and croissants following the service.
